Keeping Daddy company at the game

Princess Fiona showed up on my front porch one chilly October evening. At the time I bought in on the media hype and tried to run her off by turning the water hose on her. All she did was hunker down and look "pit"-i-full.

I got my family in the house and we watched a movie figuring the beast would leave to find somewhere else to terrorize but after the movie she was in the same spot shivering. The look in her eyes melted my heart and I let her in the house to see how she would act with my cats.

She curled up by the heater and had no reaction at all to them other than wagging her tail at them. After watching Shrek, my wife said she was so ugly she was cute thus her new name--Princess Fiona.

Since then she has helped me to overcome severe depression and social anxiety and is now training to be my service dog. She has changed several minds about the breed during her outings as an ambassador for her breed type.

Her most recent major outing was to the Texas Rangers "Dog Day" at the Ballpark
