Our Boopie

Jolie was our dog's given name but the name never really fit. She was so snuggly and cute that she earned many, many nicknames that fit much better: Boopie, Binky, Boopie-la-Boop. You get the idea.

Boopie was saved from a life in which she would have been tied to a tree outside. Adopted into our family at 8 weeks, she was our "child". For 9.5 years, she went everywhere with us - the hardware store, coffee shops, work, hiking all over the country - even to the Grand Canyon.

She passed her Canine Good Citizenship and Therapy Dog Test. Soon after the tests, she would be joining me regularly at work - to assist college students through their psychotherapy. We were heartbroken when she suddenly died in this last year of what we suspect was a cardiac event.

We were all together on one last adventure - a beautiful canoe trip. We miss her greatly. Please enjoy these pictures of our favorite girl and the best "daugger" in the world.
