Precious and Peanut, my beautiful ladies

My 1st pittie was Marie. I had asked the universe for the perfect dog for me. I figured in a year or two I'd come across one.

Not 2 months later, at a festival, some kids gave me an adult American Staffordshire Terrier. I named her Marie and true to my wish, she was the perfect dog for me. I had her 6 years before she passed.

I am still not over it but with the help of Precious, my boyfriends dog, I healed. She was as brokenhearted as I was. And yes, dogs do get depressed. We got through the loss and pain together.

Precious was a rescue who was at deaths door when we got her. Marie (who was an alpha) nursed and mothered her back to health, even letting her eat first so that she would gain weight. They were so loving and devoted to each other.

A few years later Precious had pups. I chose the runt and named her Peanut. She was the shy one who would stay in the back of the box when all the other pups ran up to greet me.

She was timid but really smart and eager to please. I have had her since the second she was born and is always with me. We have never been apart longer than a few hours. I love her more than I ever could believe possible!

She loves to play fetch and recently started to fetch in the water like Marie did. She is now 2, Precious is 10. Peanut keeps Precious young and in shape. I love my ladies and will not go anywhere they are not welcome.

Jennifer, I also have a 3 year old pit I named Peanut. And I am like you, I will NOT go anywhere I cannot take him.Peanut IS the love of my life. He gives me such unconditional love....no human can match except my precious Lord Jesus. We are in obedience training and I hope to get Peanut certified for a therapy dog.....and hopefully a service dog for me because I have been disabled for 11 years from a "mystery" illness no major medical facility can diagnose. Trouble with my balance....feel like I am on a bobbing boat all the time. Blessings and good luck to your Peanut and other pit you have !
